I doubt if anyone remembers now, but, a generation or two above me, one sign of a true gentleman was that after a good dinner - especially if there had been guests - he might well offer to do the dishes.

You must love your short termers!!! :-p
I do! I do!
Any offers for March - July? At the moment, if Mary continues to cook, it looks like I will be doing the dishes myself!
Thanks.
Maybe some of my blogging friends might like to come to you short-term. Then they can wash dishes for you.
God Bless
Matthew
He does seem to be a fine young man from what I have observed ... and this is another example of his fine quality.
You can't beat a guy that does the dishes!
Way to go Matthew, you look absolutely fabulous in the kitchen. You are my kind of guy too. Keep it up, that sort of thing always pays dividends.

You are right, Rose, you certainly can't beat a guy that does the dishes! Anyone that kind is bound to have some other wonderful qualities. And yes, Mrs. Burke, I think it does pay dividends.
Matthew, if your blogging friends are as interesting and helpful as you, they are more than welcome to come wash dishes for me anytime.
Matthew is a fine chap, and we truly appreciate finally seeing some pictures of him after conversing in the blogosphere for over a year now.
It seems he has found a very nice family with which to stay and be introduced to Japan.
Good job Matthew!
God bless,
Jim
