Shouldn't a moment have value in itself?

I turned off my own computer and was on my way to bed when I read this paragraph ...and I can't resist! (So I'm writing from my husband's computer downstairs in the study.)

I suspect that Berdyaev was addressing the Bolshevik problem - the Communists with their incessant thesis and antithesis ... but I can't help feeling that this applies more generally to (Christian) life nowadays.
