My mother told me this - why didn't I listen?!

It's been rather busy since my husband left for 2 1/2 weeks of deputation in US and I still haven't found the camera.. Hence none of the promised photos.

But no matter how busy it gets we still walk the dog every day, and take time to sit at the table and talk ...and I have time to think on my way to Hirosaki on school days.

I've been thinking about attitude and I think I agree with Charles Swindoll when he says:

"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes."

Actually my mother often told me this. Why didn't I listen?!

For some reason, as I wrap up my time with my mother and close up their household forever, I have been humming, "jesus bids us shine, with a clear pure light, like a little candle burning in the night..." it will be good to re-light the candle at 558 Seacliff Drive, Kingsville, ON. Greg is coming here to move me home. Anne
