Interactive walk

A few weeks ago I revisited Faith Comes By Hearing (where they offer 508 Audio Scripture recordings in 443 languages) and this ad for their December podcasts caught my eye.
What would happen if you listened for 31 days to the wisest sayings in the world and heard the most inspirational words ever written? Would you have a changed heart? A new direction? Spiritual revival? For 31 days, listen to a chapter a day of insight from the book of Proverbs and hear Psalms that will stir and move your heart in passion for God.

I downloaded immediately and have been listening for the last 11 mornings.

Can you see my dog? :-)

I usually go out walking while I listen because they're right... the Psalms they've chosen really do stir my soul and move my heart! I can't seem to listen in silence. I find myself interacting... praying along with them or interjecting my own feelings. (The dog doesn't mind at all - but I'd be embarrassed if anyone else heard me. :-)

What would happen if YOU listened for 31 days? I wish all my friends and relations would take up this dare!

I read five Psalms and one chapter of Proverbs every morning. What do you do when you get to the Psalms about breaking enemies teeth? (^_^)

Well, actually I think those Psalms serve a terribly important function. Better to curse in the generic and leave the judgement to God than to curse in the specific... or worse yet, take judgment into our own hands!

In the hard times those are the Psalms that expressed my heart cry.

:-)

That's why I was walking for awhile... so I could shout along! (Now I do it in the car... and hope no one sees me!)
