27th Birthday Party for Daughter # 3
When Mary's father chose her name he named her for his great-grandmother, Mary Elliot.
The name comes from Marah which means bitter and our Mary is NOT bitter. But as I often remind her, Marah is also the place where the bitter water was made sweet when Moses threw in a tree (per God's instructions.) And God took the bitterness from my life the year she was born.
