Gaining a Daughter

I'm still waiting for the disk of photos from KGK Camp. So all the KGK entries I had planned are on hold for the moment.

But here are couple of photos of our expedition to Hakodate on Monday to meet our son's future in-laws. (Luke has posted a full collection on his blog.) By amazing co-incidence Mr. Takahashi's hometown is Yuda in Iwate - the very place we had just been for the KGK Camp last week.

Yuko Takahashi with her parents

Yuko chose the Old English Consulate in Moto Machi for our meeting place - a place where Mary and I have often stood gazing through from the little gift shop and wishing we were comfortabley seated in the tea shop instead of just windowshopping. This time I was comfortably seated! The sun shone and we drank pots and pots of tea while we talked.

Luke and Yuko's Happy Parents

Luke is very fortunate in his choice of a wife and we are all looking forward to their marriage on June 25th.

For those of you who are impatient to see the camp photos I found a few on the Zion Kinshuko website - see if you can find the photos (本日のシオン錦秋湖)and the first 5 or 6 photos feature the KGK Camp. (That will change when they finish the High School Camp this week and the Jr.High Camp next week.)
