Something interesting from came from WOLKOREA the other day:
While at WOL, Bonnie Keegan from Australia gave me a good idea. She said they were in a home where each morning the father got up before everyone else. He then prepared a small tray for each member of the family with their preference of coffee or tea alongside a couple pieces of chocolate. It was delivered to their room for them to enjoy while they had their Quiet Time. The kids and I have done that for the past few days. It is especially nice for those who have a hard time getting up and who need a little something in their system right away. I did it the first morning with Anna and Benjamin. Daniel said he wanted some chocolate, too. I said it was only for those who have their Quiet Time:) Can you guess what Daniel is doing each morning now?:) May 19, '06 10:29 PM
It's a little late for us to try it now - the only kids we have left at home, inspired by a speaker at summer camp, have been having their devotions for years now - but I thought this was too good an idea to file without noting.

Hmmm, I wonder who I could have bring me chocolate and coffee?? ^_^ Maybe someday I can enjoy your suggestion!!
Aunt Laurie and Uncle Jon, I finally finished the CD's of Os Guiness and others lectures. I really enjoyed them. I listened to them while painting grandma's garage (think it took 12 hours to listen to them all).

My two year old would become very spiritual at this idea. I can hear her saying "can we have quiet time again" in order to get the chocolate. The love and devotion however being shown here is beautiful. A great idea.
I wish I was there to give you coffee for your Quiet Time, Sarah. (Well, actually, I wish you were here!)
Melanie... so much time has elapsed since you wrote this comment that I doubt you'll be looking back at the comments again... but I am deadly curious - where do you live? Are you in Japan. BTW, I bribed my children shamelessly - ice cream on Sundays (and only on Sundays!) for children who sat through church like good children.
And Nate, I'm so glad you listened to the CDs - and enjoyed them! (I hope you will lend them to your university friends, too.)
