Last Supper in 2008

Our Last Supper may be more of a Yaki Niku Party and yet we talk a bit about the Passover and the elements of the meal and the correlation with the Last Supper before we begin.

And light the Lenten candles of course. I love the reflection and flames... its a time to pause in the midst of life's busy-ness.

This year John talked a bit about forgiveness and, since church members predominated and stomaches were VERY FULL, we had an impromptu hymnsing.

This 80 year old grandmother loved the hymns. She says that she wishes she could sing them. Maybe we should bring our hymnbooks and visit her sometimes...

All in all, it was one of the best suppers ever. Not the particular guests I hoped for, nor quite the program we planned. But meaningful. And that's what its really about, isn't it?
