Preparation for the Last Supper

On Good Friday I was left behind to prepare for the Last Supper while Mary went to Hanachan's grad in the morning and then to "work". (Part of her ministry is helping missionaries with their Japanese.) I'm afraid I was moving rather slowly that day but I had a very earnest young student assisting me and together we made unleavened bread and charoset and prepared the tables for grilling lamb.

Passover Elements

In Ajigasawa Church our celebration is so casual that its really just a Yaki Niku Party with a theme... but its a time to reflect on sin and rejection and betrayal.... and forgiveness.

We always have a rooster cake to remind us of Peter's denial... and subsequent restoration. Thank God for restoration! Or where would we all be?!
