If We Let It...

A friend whose life - or at least his plan - has just gone tipsy turvy wrote tonight and finished off with this interesting statement "... what doesn't kill us only makes us godlier, if we let it."

I was just thinking about this yesterday. (One of my former KGK kids and I have a study every Wednesday and Friday and had just hit the topic of trials.) 1 Peter puts it this way:
"... trials. These have come so that your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed."
Yes,what doesn't kill us only makes us godlier, if we let it.

But will we let it?

WILL I let it?

I've been chronically sick with blood sugar issues the last couple of months. I think it's hypoglycemia, but I don't have insurance and I hate going to a doctor who's going to charge mom and dad more than they can afford. I've been communicating w/ aunt Cass some, but I still have unanswered questions. I just wish I had energy. It can be hard to be cheerful when you're constantly hungry.

I'm memorizing James. I guess it's a good book for me, just now.

Definitely hard to be cheerful when you're hungry! or tired!

I'll be praying. I have ideas, too, because it sounds like a health issue we've had to deal with in this house but I'm away from home at the moment and can't phone. I don't think I have your mail address with me either. So I guess I'll just go on praying.

And yes, James is good!
