I will not fear

I should be going to bed soon... Well, actually my usual bedtime is in three hours. But its dark and cold and bed would probably be more comfortable! But no one wants to sleep after an earthquake. At least not in my house!

We ate dinner by candlelight and tried to play a game (Cranium) but we kept wondering about this friend and that and when Daughter # 1 phoned with the news that was/is the worst earthquake in Japan’s recorded history (I’m not sure how they measure that... ) we gave up.

At that point we gave up and my husband went out and got the generator so we make contact with the outside world. A little... not much phone service!

I’ve been meaning to memorize Psalm 46 for a long time.

PSALM 46:2 Therefore we will not fear,

though the earth give way

and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,

though its waters roar and foam

and the mountains quake with their surging. Selah

So glad that you're alright! We're praying for friends all up and down Eastern Japan tonight. Naosuke is stuck at school in Tokyo. Don't think much sleep will be happening tonight around here either!
