Yesterday was the second Sunday of Lent. Back in Japan, as they lit the second candle my church community focused on:
I am the vine;
you are the branches.
If you remain in me and I in you,
you will bear much fruit;
apart from me you can do nothing.

Here in Toronto I attended Knox Presbyterian Church with my son’s family. It was a nostalgic morning – Knox is the church we attended the year after our son was born.
